Good food - fast friendly service. Got the chicken bowl with rice and veggies and was impressed! Guy working let me try the beef and chicken was better in my opinion. No indoor seating - just a quick grab & go place with outdoor seating that's part of the plaza it's in. Overall good quick stop!

Meh. That's the best way to describe my experience.
The shop itself is tiny. It's about two to three bodies deep, so if there's more than this in line it feels stuffy. When I went in, two girls were in front of me and a guy was waiting for food so the shop felt quite tight.
I opted to wait at a table outside for my food to avoid the crowded shop. My food came out quickly after ordering, but had to keep an eye out while waiting, since I was outside. They have a "magic sauce" which the worker informed me tasted like teriyaki sauce. I was excited for this because that was exactly what I wanted! Turns out it's much more bitter, like soy sauce, which I am not a fan of.
I got a bowl with brown rice, veggies, and tofu. The tofu was really soft, not crispy at all which I was hoping for. The veggies and rice were good, but nothing special. The magic sauce did not taste very magical, but was glad to at least add some sauce to the otherwise dry meal.
I left my food halfway through to refill my drink and, well, when I came back, birds were eating my meal. Can't say I was that upset about it since I was not too excited to eat it myself. Definitely will not come back. I was hoping for good and fresh fast food Asian, but this definitely fell short. -

Awesome healthy spot for a quick lunch! They have a variety of different size bowls with different proteins to choose from. I don't usually eat red meat so I always get a regular chicken or tofu bowl. The chicken is grilled and nice in flavor. They have a variety of hot sauces to choose from. The place is very small and there is seating outside. This place is located in La Jolla Village square so parking during lunch time is a bit of a nightmare. The staff is always very friendly.

This place opened more than 20 years ago, and it was a great and convenient spot when I was in college. Nothing fancy, but a simple and efficient setup. And the food was good. I'd never really had teriyaki bowls before, and they hit the spot. Service was usually pretty quick, and the meals were inexpensive.

Great inexpensive place to get lunch while at work. It is a very small location but I am just going in to quickly grab a lunch and go so it doesn't bother me a bit. Staff are always friendly. I like the fact that they let you customize. Never was a fan of cabbage so I always order my bowl with vegetables but no cabbage.
